What it is for

An instance is the connection slot that the agency assigns to an organization. When you link it, you choose the channel type. Afterwards, the client connects the channel (for example, by scanning the WhatsApp QR).

Who can do it

Only the agency Owner or Admin unlinks instances. Inside Open as client, the link and unlink buttons do not appear.

Where to click

There are two places:
  • In the organization: Organizations, open the client and go to the Instances tab. The button is Link instance.
  • On the Instances screen (/instancias), which shows all of the agency’s instances, with the All, Disconnected, Login expired, Blocked, and Free views.

Step by step

Open the client's Instances tab

Go into the organization and click Instances.

Click Link instance

Search by “Name, number or @account”. Instances used by another organization show as In use.

Choose the connection type

For a Free slot · choose the type, select the type: WhatsApp QR, Official WhatsApp, Instagram, or Google Business Profile. An instance that already has a type shows “This instance already has a type.” If you like, give it an Instance name (optional).

Click Link

The instance is created. The screen shows the Client connection link. Use Copy link and send it to the client.
In the row’s actions menu (Copy instance ID, Copy client connection link, Rename, Unlink from this organization):
  • Rename: the name must have 1 to 80 characters. “Name updated.” appears.
  • Unlink from this organization: the slot goes back to the agency as free, from scratch. The instance stops existing for the organization. Check the warning on the screen before you confirm.

What happens next

The row shows the status: Connected, Disconnected, Login expired, Blocked, Disabled, Suspended, or Waiting for the client to connect. If the channel’s module is off for the organization, Module off appears: conversations continue, but it cannot be connected or reconnected. See How to turn on modules.

Common errors

  • “The agency has no free instance slot. Buy more instances.”
  • “The client reached the plan’s instance limit.”
  • “This instance is already linked.”
  • “The chosen type doesn’t match this instance. Choose the right type or another slot.”
  • “Too many attempts. Try again shortly.”
  • “Only the agency Owner or Admin can unlink instances.”
  • “This organization is being deleted and accepts no changes.”
