Each of the agency’s clients is an organization. It is the client’s subaccount: it has its own users, instances, conversations, and settings, kept separate from the others.

Create an organization

In the portal, open Organizations and use New client. The wizard has 5 steps, and inviting the client is one of them.

Assign instances

An instance is the connection that the agency assigns to the organization. When you assign it, you choose the channel type, such as WhatsApp by QR code, official WhatsApp, or Instagram.
  • Nothing assigns an instance on its own. The agency decides which instance goes to which organization.
  • When you link an instance to an organization, it is created for that organization.
  • When you unlink it, the slot goes back free, from scratch, and the instance stops existing for the organization.
  • The instance name is friendly and you can choose it.
The client is the one who connects the channel, in their own organization, after the instance is assigned.

Invite users

The client’s users are invited through the organization. Inside the organization, the users tab also lets you Create user and Add existing. See How to invite organization users.

The organization’s modules

Each organization’s features are modules that the agency turns on or off. Some modules have submodules, such as Marketing, Calendar, and AI. An instance whose module is turned off stays in the list, with a badge that shows the reason.

Delete an organization

There are two paths: Request deletion… (gives you 24 hours to change your mind) and Delete now (immediate, agency Owner only). See How to delete an organization.

Billing the client

The agency’s billing to the client depends on the organization’s plan. An organization without a plan is billed outside STChat, by direct agreement between the agency and the client.
