The agency decides what it charges its clients. STChat sells to the agency, and the client buys from the agency.

Connect the agency’s Stripe

Under Getting paid through the agency’s Stripe, the Owner or Admin connects the agency’s Stripe account.
  • You sign in to Stripe; STChat does not see or store your password or key.
  • The money lands in the agency’s account and goes on to the bank registered with Stripe.
  • Stripe may ask for company documents before approving. Until then, the connection shows as “Waiting for Stripe” and charges do not go out.
  • Once the account is accepted, the payment methods are Pix, boleto and credit card.
If you disconnect, open charges stay in Stripe and can still be paid. New charges, the dunning schedule and automatic billing stop until you connect again.

The organization’s plan

In the organization, the Plan and billing tab shows the current plan, the resale price and billing. Use Change plan to choose the mode: The change applies from the next statement. The resale price is what the organization pays per month, and the default is the plan price. Only the agency Owner or Admin changes the plan. The dunning schedule is the agency’s.

Billing outside STChat

A subaccount with no plan is normal when the agency bills the client outside STChat. An organization with No plan stays out of the closing, the statements, automatic billing, the dunning schedule and billing notices, and is not suspended for non-payment. You bill the client however you prefer. What the organization uses still counts toward the agency, such as instances and Voice.

Payments in the client’s organization

Payments is a module that comes turned off by default. The agency turns it on per organization. With it on, the client connects their own Stripe account, and the money goes straight to their account. Revenue is also a per-organization module, turned off by default, and it requires Payments to be on.

The agency’s card and billing

On the portal’s Billing page, the agency follows the charges for its own plan and changes the card.
