# Refer an agency

> Use your referral link, register your Pix key and follow the commission from the agencies you referred.

## What it is for

You refer other agencies to STChat and get paid by Pix when they become customers. Whoever signs up through your link is linked to your agency.

## Who can do it

Only the Owner registers or changes the Pix key. Only the Owner and Admin see the amounts and the key.

## Where to click

In the portal, open the **Refer an agency** page (`/conta/indique`).

## Step by step

**1. Register the Pix key**

If "Register your Pix key to get paid." appears, click **Register key**, choose the type (CPF, CNPJ, Email, Phone or Random) and enter the key. Click **Save key**. Without it, the payout stays on hold.

**2. Copy the link**

Under **Your referral link**, click **Copy link**.

**3. Send it to other agencies**

Send the link. Whoever signs up through it appears under **Your referrals**.

**4. Follow along**

See each agency's status: On trial, Customer, Commission released, Commission paid, Not eligible or Canceled. The **History** shows each event.

## How the commission works

The commission is a percentage of the referred agency's first invoice, paid once. The percentage appears on the screen. It is released after 30 paid days. STChat pays by Pix after approving each payout. The cards **Referred**, **Commission released**, **To receive** and **Received** sum up the totals.

## What happens next

Under **Payout history**, you see each payment, with its date. The "To receive" amount shows the date of the next payout.

## Common errors

* "The referral program is paused." Whoever signs up is still recorded, and the commission applies again when the program is turned back on.
* "That key is not a valid (type). Check the numbers."
* "Could not save the key. Try again."
* "Only the agency Owner can change the key."
* "Could not load your referrals."
* "Not available yet."
